Te Whatu are in the process of finalising new contracts with each University. Whilst the digital library resources, such as databases, e-journals and e-books will be managed by and made accessible through the Health New Zealand Library Service, the University of Auckland Library will continue to support staff with services such as literature searching, consultations, and orientation and training for Health New Zealand staff located at Auckland Hospital.
Health New Zealand staff will not be able to borrow from the University Library’s physical print collections nor will they have an entitlement to Associate membership. However, Health New Zealand staff who currently have full access to the University Library’s digital collections as part of their role as a lecturer or adjunct member of faculty will continue to have the same level of access.
