Off-site access

A University username and password, available with Associate membership, is required for off-site access.

Go to adhb.library.auckland.ac.nz and log in with your username when prompted.

Due to licensing restrictions, University online resources on the University of Auckland Library website or catalogue are not available from off-site/home. You may request copies of articles or book chapters.

Troubleshooting

If you see these error messages when logging in, try the fixes below:

  • Apologies, you do not have access to University of Auckland Library online resources
    You may have selected a University online resource in the University of Auckland Library catalogue. These are available from a University computer in the Philson Library, or use the Request form to get copies of articles or chapters.

Request an article or book

  • Apologies, you do not have off-site access to Te Toka Tumai Auckland online resources
    You require current Library Associate membership to access the Te Toka Tumai Auckland e-resources from home/off-site. Email us and we will check your library membership status.

  • The combination of username and password you have entered is incorrect
    Your password may need to be reset if it is old, or if you have forgotten it.

Username and password

Your username and password gives offsite access to Te Toka Tumai Auckland Library Links resources, including:

  • Te Toka Tumai Auckland Library Links e-journals, databases and e-books from offsite/home.
  • The Copy and Print Service in the Library.
  • My Library Account in the Catalogue, where you may renew your library books.
  • University of Auckland computers in the Library.

Get your username and password

  • You will be given a username and password with your Associate membership.
  • Each time you renew your Associate membership, your username and password will reactivate.
  • You may change or reset your password at any time.
  • If your membership is in process, a temporary username and password is available for logging on to a University computer in the Library. Ask at the Philson Library helpdesk.

Change or reset your password

Use your username or the ID number on your Campus (Library) ID Card.

You may also phone the University Staff Service Centre to get your password: +64 9 923 6000, Monday to Friday 7.30am-6pm. Provide your name and username.

Protect your password

  • Do not write down your password.
  • You must keep your password confidential. You are not permitted to share it with anyone else.
  • No University representative will ask you for your password.

About ClinicalKey

  • Includes clinical topics for patient care decision support, as well as journals, leading medical textbooks, practice guidelines, videos, images, Medline results, clinical trial information and patient handouts.

You will need to register a personal account and sign in to download PDFs.

Register a personal account

  1. From any work computer within Te Toka Tumai Auckland hospital network, go to www.clinicalkey.com.au
  2. Click Register (top right) and enter your Te Toka Tumai Auckland email address.
  3. Fill in your details and click Register (bottom right), then click Continue.

Activate remote access

  1. Once logged in to ClinicalKey, click your name (top right) and select Remote access from the drop-down menu.
  2. Enter your Te Toka Tumai Auckland email address.
  3. Activate your remote access by clicking the link in the confirmation email.

You may now go to www.clinicalkey.com.au from any computer and log in.

Mobile access

If using a web browser on your device, you can add a ClinicalKey shortcut to your home screen.

You may also download a mobile app from your app store (Android or Apple). Log in with your ClinicalKey username and password when prompted.

ClinicalKey for Nursing

Nursing books, journals, drug monographs, patient education, multimedia, procedures consult, Elseviers’s clinical skills, nursing scales, Mosby’s evidence-based nursing monographs, clinical updates, core measures, practice guidelines and lab.

iMIMS New Zealand

ID number not required if you register with your Te Toka Tumai Auckland email address.

 

 

UpToDate

About UpToDate

  • UpToDate is a key clinical decision support tool providing key clinical and drug information at the point of care.
  • Access on up to two mobile devices.
  • Access on any computer with an internet connection.
  • Earn free continuing education credit when you research a clinical question using UpToDate onsite or offsite – including on your mobile device.

To register

  • From any work computer within the Te Toka Tumai Auckland hospital network, go to www.uptodate.com/online
  • Click on Log in/Register to register and create a username and password.
  • Search for UpToDate in your App store to download and install the Mobile App (iOS, Android, Windows 8).
  • Open the Mobile App and log in once with your username and password.

You may now access UpToDate on your device. From offsite on any computer with an internet connection, just log in to UpToDate.

To maintain access on your App and from offsite

  • You will receive a reminder to verify your organisational affiliation every 90 days. Log in to your existing account from any computer within the hospital network to continue access (no need to re-register).
  • If you change or update your devices, log in and go to My Account to add or remove devices.

UpToDate includes:

  • More than 10,000 topics covering general internal medicine and more than 22 specialties.
  • A drug database and interaction took; nearly 1500 patient interaction topics; more than 28,000 graphics; and links to more than 400,000 references.
