  • Requests for books already on loan (recalls) are not available
  • Find out more about requesting books
  • If you need to remain isolated for health reasons, let us know, and we can courier books to you.
  • We will email you when your book is ready to collect
  • The Philson Library collection point is outside the side door entrance at the front of the main Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences building

Visiting the library

  • Please check our current opening hours before arriving
  • Bring your University of Auckland Campus Card to collect your request
  • For the health and safety of our community, there are mask wearing requirements (unless an exemption applies) when indoors when attending teaching and learning activities, and/or in publicly accessible areas. See full details on masks on campus.
  • In line with the changes to the government's COVID-19 Protection Framework that came into effect on 25 March 2022, use of the NZ COVID Tracer app while on campus is no longer required. QR codes will continue to be available throughout our campuses, for those who wish to use them.
  • As of 11.59pm Monday 4 April 2022, our University Covid-19 Vaccination and Testing Policy has been revoked. However, there are some University activities where Government vaccine mandates still apply. For more details, see Covid-19 information for our community.

  • You may return books that you have borrowed.
  • No fines will be charged if you cannot return books, except for short loan items where normal fines apply.
